2.Are the gemstones in Topsy Jewels pieces natural?
Yes. Our pieces are set with genuine, hand-selected gemstones — never imitation glass. Where a stone is lab-created or a modern alternative, such as moissanite, we say so clearly on the product page.
3.How do I find my birthstone?
Use the twelve-month guide in the Gemstone Guide section above. Select your birth month to read its full guide and shop jewelry set with that stone.
4.What is gold vermeil, and how is it different from gold plating?
Gold vermeil is a thick layer of real gold over solid sterling silver. Ordinary gold plating uses a much thinner layer over a base metal, so it wears through far sooner. All our gold pieces are 18K gold vermeil over 925 sterling silver.
5.How should I care for gemstone jewelry?
Put jewelry on last and take it off first. Keep it away from perfume, chlorine and household cleaners, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and store pieces separately so harder stones don't scratch softer ones. Softer stones such as opal and moonstone need extra care.
6.Can I wear a birthstone that isn't my birth month?
Absolutely. Birthstone tradition is a lovely starting point, not a rule. Many people choose a stone for its colour, its meaning, or because it belongs to someone they love.
